System requirements and supported devices
Recommended browsers and operating systems
You can access Practicepicnic from any computer, tablet, or mobile device with a reliable internet connection. To protect client data and ensure full functionality, your device and browser should meet the minimum requirements.
Minimum operating system requirements
Mac
- macOS 13 (Ventura)
- macOS 14 (Sonoma)
- macOS 15 (Sequoia – recommended)
Windows
- Windows 10 (22H2)
- Windows 11 (22H2 – recommended)
We recommend using a device purchased within the last two years.
- Minimum specs: 2.5 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM
- Recommended: 8 GB RAM or more
Minimum browser requirements
Practicepicnic supports the following browser versions or newer:
- Google Chrome: version 132+
- Mozilla Firefox: version 135+
- Safari: version 18+
- Microsoft Edge: version 132+
Internet Explorer is not supported, and Microsoft no longer recommends using it for security reasons. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser for Practicepicnic to work properly.
For the best experience, use the latest version of your browser and follow the best practices outlined in Recommended browser settings.
Internet connection
Practicepicnic requires a stable, high-speed internet connection (10–15 Mbps or higher). Offline use isn’t supported—unsaved changes made without a connection will be lost.
Mobile and tablet access
You can access Practicepicnic using the built-in browser on your mobile device. On supported devices, you can also add Practicepicnic to your home screen for quick access—just like an app.
We support:
- iPhones and iPads running iOS 15 or later (iOS 16+ recommended)
- Android devices running Android 10 or later (Android 14+ recommended)
To add Practicepicnic to your home screen:
- On iPhone or iPad (Safari):
- Visit https://app.practicepicnic.com in Safari
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
- Tap Add to Home Screen
- On Android (Chrome):
- Visit https://app.practicepicnic.com in Chrome
- Tap the menu button (three dots in the top right)
- Tap Add to Home screen
This gives you fast access and a more app-like experience, while still running in your browser.
Recommended browser settings
While Practicepicnic works on most modern browsers, we recommend a few simple browser settings to ensure a smooth and secure experience.
Updating to the latest version
Always keep your browser up to date. New versions often include important security patches and performance improvements.
- Google Chrome: Menu (⋮) > Help > About Google Chrome > Update (if available) > Relaunch
- Mozilla Firefox: Menu (☰) > Settings > General > Firefox Updates
- Safari: Safari updates automatically when you update macOS.
- Microsoft Edge: Menu (…) > Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge
Enabling Javascript and cookies
JavaScript powers core Practicepicnic features, and cookies keep your session running smoothly. Make sure both are enabled.
- Chrome: From Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings
- JavaScript → "Sites can use JavaScript"
- Third-party cookies → "Allow all cookies" or add an exception for app.practicepicnic.com
- Firefox: From Settings > Privacy & Security
- Enhanced Tracking Protection → Standard
- Cookies → Manage Exceptions → add app.practicepicnic.com
- Safari
- Settings > Privacy → Uncheck “Block all cookies”
- Settings > Security → Check “Enable JavaScript”
- Edge
- Settings > Site Permissions
- Cookies and site data → Allow
- JavaScript → Allowed
Turning off AdBlock
Ad blockers can interfere with features like Telehealth or secure messaging. If you're using an ad blocker, disable it for app.practicepicnic.com while keeping it on for other sites.
Browser extensions
Some extensions slow down your browser or may store sensitive data. For better performance and security, we recommend removing unnecessary extensions when using Practicepicnic.
