Diagnosis and treatment planning

There are two ways to add a diagnosis to a client in Practicepicnic. You can do so either while creating a treatment plan or directly from the client's Diagnosis tab.

You must have at least one diagnosis on file before you can create a Superbill for a client.

From a treatment plan

While creating a treatment plan, you'll see a spot to add your client's diagnosis. This option will only appear if you have selected Treatment Plan as the document type and selected a Treatment Plan template.

From the dialog box that pops up, search for the ICD-10 code or the description of the diagnosis that you'd like to give this client.

Click select next to the diagnosis that you'd like to add to this treatment plan. You can add multiple diagnoses in this way.

Once you're done, Sign and then Save the document to finalize your diagnosis.

From the diagnosis tab

You can also add a diagnosis directly from the client's Diagnoses tab.

Click on Add diagnosis.

The rest of the process is the same as described above in the treatment plan section. Make sure to Sign and then Save once you've selected your diagnoses.

Note that creating a diagnosis in this way will create a new boilerplate treatment plan for this client with the diagnosis and place it into your client's Documents tab. The treatment plan template looks like this:
